About Me

I was born and raised in Texas. I attended Abilene Christian University where I earned a Bachelors Degree in Communication and a Masters in Christian Ministry and played lots of pick-up basketball. In October of 1996, I married Heather Heflin in Abilene. In January of 1997, we moved to Bellingham, Washington and worked with the Sterling Drive Church until December of 2002. In February of 2003 we moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to work with the Garnett Church of Christ.

In May of 2001, we celebrated the birth of our first child, Caleb Stone. In October of 2002, Elijah Price was born. Both of these little guys are teaching me more about God than any of the books in my library ever have.

In March of 2002, I officially retired from city league basketball. There is a 99.9% chance I won’t return.

In addition to wrestling with Caleb and Elijah, I love listen to audio books on my ipod, read in the bathtub, and hang out at Starbucks. My favorite part of sermon preparation is going to the movies.

My primary spiritual gifts are teaching, leadership, and sarcasm.
