I Love the Olympics

The men’s relay last night was one of the best races I’ve ever seen. I’m sitting in my living room in Catoosa, Oklahoma screaming as if I’m there in China. That is why we watch the Olympics.

Speaking of the Olympics, I’d like to qualify for the 2012 games, but I’m not sure which sport would be the best for me. I lack speed, strength, and skill, but I’m a hard worker. Any suggestions?

    Consecutive Free Throws, dude.

  4. Maybe you could be the guy they dangled from the rope to light the torch. (I seriously thought the rope broke when he went from upright to sideways before he started running around the huge video screen).

Don’t lose hope. You don’t have to be good to be in the Olympics. Just remember Eddie the Eagle (the ski jumping guy who couldn’t jump) or the swimmer who couldn’t swim and just sloshed around doing a semi-dog paddle to compete?

In the words of Lloyd Christmas, “so you’re sayin’ there’s a chance……..YEAH!!!!”

  5. Me too, been having a great time watching them with the family. My little girl watches them too, but then she will get up and do some of the events for us. Cute, super cute. I am really looking forward to the 2010 Winter Games, Go Canada in the Hockey.

  6. It seems like the horses work harder than the equestrians. You could try that.

  7. Ballroom dancing…
    (feel better?)

  8. Winter Olympics. Curling.

  9. you seem to be a good jouster:)

  10. Heather Hodges says:

Once Jim and Dwight get “Slap Face” approved as an Olympic sport you will be a shoe-in for the gold. Or maybe a jousting event?

  11. Sam Middlebrook says:

Jousting would be good, unless Heather decides to compete as well. Let’s just say that would not end well for you.

  12. Underwater basket weaving. Then you’d need to learn a weaving skill… Forget it… Stick with curling. I’ll second that.

  13. Lets get Marathon Preaching approved.

    I mean that in a good way…

  14. I think Dwight mentioned some events tonight in a commerical for the upcoming season of The Office that could work work you.

I especially liked “Hamster Hiding”. I think you’d be good at that!

  15. Wow I could say so much!

    I won’t but I thought some stuff. ;-}

  16. Lets get Marathon Preaching approved.

Ummm who has to do the sound and slides for that!?!? *-*
