I was surprised (and pleased) yesterday when a sister brought the article to me. I couldn’t believe they’d run it in an upstate NY paper. Very cool.
I was glad to see the fairly “fair and balanced” AP story on the ongoing discussions between the a cappella Churches of Christ and the conservative Christian Churches/Churches of Christ although I would have liked to have seen at least one quote from someone in the latter group.
Is that the same Jeff Walling that told 3,000 youth about his experience where he said he speak if they sang accapella. And the comment back was you keep all us from praising God and Jeff’s comment back was I don’t see all of you using a guitar.

I, too, was really thankful to see that article in light of the other press the church has received recently. The approach to journalism whas strikingly different from N.G. and her news show.
